If including the Flush Shutter DC to your Z-Wave network automatically, first put your Z-Wave gateway controller into inclusion/pairing mode. To be fair, I am/was using this device to control a motor... But not the intended 'design' purpose of windows/shades. However, everything should be fine. My issue was that it would randomly fail to run the motor long enough for the "open" mode. I have played with the learning functions and different current threshold settings. It would fix this issue for a month or so then fail again. I even set the minimum run time to use the limit switch function with no luck.
Used with a Hubitat.
I got the Qubino Z-Wave Plus Flush Shutter DC Module to operate a linear actuator that I use to open and close my double hung window. This gadget is super compact and can handle a 2 amp load. The module paired easily with Hubitat and shows as a Qubino Shutter Module. The module allows for voice control, trigger control and it even has inputs for a switch so you can control it manually. It is compact enough to fit in a single gang box with a standard wall switch.
Purchased this Qubino Shutter Module for the task of being able to control our exterior blinds through automation from our Hubitat Elevation -- received the unit super-quickly from thesmartesthouse.com and began testing right away with a 12V roller motor and automation rules from HE -- works great!
I was initially looking at the Aeotec Nano Shutter S2 (approximately the same price as the Qubino, however with an increased wireless range) but integration in Hubitat is not yet supported as widely as the Qubino -- felt the safer route for my purposes was going with the Qubino. Happy I did.
The Qubino shutter module is Z-Wave Plus, acts as a Z-Wave repeater, and works flawlessly -- absolutely no issues pairing and configuring. Great little motor controller!
